WHAT A YEAR! 2022/23 Look-Back

From Newcastle to Manchester, Devon to Kent…The Past Presents team saw a whole lot of England last academic year and we loved it!

We want to say a huge thank you to some of our core clients for cementing us as your chosen partner for History Workshops, special thanks to the Summit Trust schools in Birmingham who we visited more than 30 times last year.

Some outstanding highlights include:

  • MEDIA DAY! The wonderful media gathering days we did at Firs Primary, and Chellaston Junior School in Derby were fantastic and have provided some of the wonderful new images we have on our updated website.
  • THE ROCKET RIDES AGAIN! The one outing a year for our huge ‘Rocket’ steam engine model for Little Kingshill Primary is always a highlight!  We phased out the use of it over the last few years as it it simply too large to deliver regularly but Luke our resident giant took this one on and had a fabulous day.
  • MEDIEVAL WOW DAY!  We returned to Queenswood Girls School in Hertfordshire for the 5th year as we delivered one of their end of year WOW days complete with sword fighting, axe throwing, battle and more.

 

In all, we delivered more than 200 days to schools nationwide and 2023-24 looks to be even busier so thank you to all our wonderful schools and we’ll see you soon!

"We had the most amazing experience with The Past Presents delivering an Ancient Egyptians workshop. The children loved every minute of it and they were all engaged from the minute you arrived to the very end. The tasks were fantastic and brought the whole topic to life for them. The mummification was by far their favourite and most memorable. The closing ceremony for the day was incredible and brought all of their learning to an end in a brilliant way. You were brilliant with all of the children and a font of knowledge for any of their questions. Would definitely recommend!"
