Students examine the period of stone circle building and some of the reasons our ancestors built them. They then construct their very own ‘Stonehenge’ in the school Hall!
Students will engage in the skills of hunting and gathering that enabled our ancestors to survive and thrive in varied environments. From Tracking to Archery and Spear skills, this session delivers hands-on learning like no other.
With a range of Stone Age tools and techniques, students try to master a host of everyday skills from cord & clothing making to fire-lighting and shelter building.
This session focuses on the growth of tribes, clans and settlements as students work on a range of activities from domestication of animals to building defensive constructions.
Our signature finale session sees everyone get involved in a big hunt to bring food back to our settlement.
