At The Past Presents… we are all passionate about two things – History, and inspiring young people. 

With over 15 years of experience delivering history-related workshops and activities to schools all over the UK, in 2020 we decided to launch The Past Presents brand with a completely new, from-the-ground-up package of workshops and resources.  

We now deliver 14 + historical eras to over 400 schools nationwide, but there’s always room for more!

What makes us unique

We are just one of many providers of history-related workshops into schools in the UK, but we believe we are one of the best!

  • We believe the activity and environment for learning is more important than the person delivering it.
  • Our job is to create the learning environment, set the scene and facilitate the learning.
  • We want the activities, the learning and the atmosphere to be remembered more than we are!
  • In key situations our Facilitators will get dressed up and become a character and centre of attention if the dramatic impact is what is required.
  • All of our workshops and sessions place the young people in engaged, hands-on situations or activities within 5-10 minutes of introduction.
  • In a sector where the learning is often delivered in a show-and-tell approach by passionate, costumed historians keen to share their knowledge verbally, we believe a more hands-on approach is required to engage more children at once.
  • A day with us is made up of 4 different hands-on mechanisms for the best chance at learning: Active & Physical, Compare & Contrast, Role-play & Drama, Creativity & Problem Solving.
  • One of our most unique selling points is the sheer amount and range of resources we bring!  
  • No other provider in the UK can match our unique blend of hand-made bespoke centre-pieces, foam weapons/armour and authentic/replica resources.
  • The majority of our equipment is made in-house at our large premises in the Midlands which allows us to create what we need exactly for the purpose.

"We had the most amazing experience with The Past Presents delivering an Ancient Egyptians workshop. The children loved every minute of it and they were all engaged from the minute you arrived to the very end. The tasks were fantastic and brought the whole topic to life for them.
