Workshops: 18th C & the Georgians

This era of Empire and great conflict globally is brought to life with workshops ranging from battles of the Napoleonic wars to inventions and advancements in medicine, science and technology.

Session 1 – Prose, Propaganda and Print

We examine the rise of the Newspaper, the Novel and other publications and their influence on everyday life as students harness the power of print .

Session 2 – Agriculture & Industry

Students get very hands-on in this session as we examine key aspects of the Agricultural and Industrial revolutions including crop rotation, canal transport, steam power and machines

Session 3 – Plunderous Pirates & Heinous Highwaymen

This light-hearted and fun 2-part session looks at the infamous figures of lore, expelling myths and understanding the societies which allowed these criminals to flourish

Session 4 – Barbaric Battles:

A hands-on look at the Napoleonic Wars…choose from a range of battles in one of our most popular workshop formats:
Waterloo, Culloden, Salamanca
