Workshops: Ancient Superpowers – Egypt

In this series, students dive into ancient Egypt through five sessions: re-enacting pharaoh burials, building pyramids, exploring the Nile’s role in agriculture, enacting Egyptian gods, and re-enacting historic battles.

Session 1 – Mortality and Mummies:

Using drama and role-play young people re-enact the burial rites of the pharaoh using mummification, Grave goods and rites to create an absorbing & authentic ritual.

Session 2 – Precise Pyramids:

A stunningly creative and hands-on session where young people can live the life of a Pyramid worker beside the Ancient Nile, from irrigation to crops & food and building their very own pyramid!

Session 3 – Pantheon & Performance:

The huge Pantheon of Egyptian Gods is brought to life in this packed session which includes role play, dressing up, discovery and more.

Session 5 – Barbaric Battles:

One of our most engaging sessions, these follow a structured format of training for war, setting the scene and enacting out the key points of Historic Battles. Choose from 3 different battles: Kadesh, Defeat of the Hyksos, Cleopatra’s Battle of the Nile
