Workshops: The Medieval World – Martial Matters

In the second set of workshops for the Medieval period we focus on the martial – from weapons and armour to battles that became turning points and more

Session 1 – Castles: Conquest and Control

Students learn the construction and deployment of castles as they plan, build and test the quality of their own constructions.

Session 2– Severe Sieges

Using our exclusive range of ancient siege weapons, students can understand the nature of medieval siege warfare and
conduct their very own siege!

Session 3 – Weapons & Warfare

This 2-part session looks at weapons, arms and armour and the arms race that developed throughout the middle ages. Close
focus is placed on characters such as the Knight and Archer

Session 4 – Barbaric Battles:

Choose from a range of battles in one of our most popular workshop formats: Bannockburn, Agincourt, Bosworth

The children loved every minute of it and they were all engaged from the minute you arrived to the very end. The tasks were fantastic and brought the whole topic to life for them. The mummification was by far their favourite and most memorable. The closing ceremony for the day was incredible and brought all of their learning to an end in a brilliant way.
