Workshops: World War 1

WW1 and it’s impact on the world is brought to life through workshops that seek to immerse your young people in the everyday life of trench warfare, troop morale and fighting for King & Country.

Session 1 – Who Started the War?

Using our signature Hats-only props, we take a speedy introductory look at the start of the War.

Session 2 – Your Country needs you Pt 1

In this informative session, children are presented with a range of Male soldiers and roles in WW1 which they have to identify
through teamwork and critical thinking.

Session 3 – Your Country needs you Pt 2

In this informative session, children are presented with a range of Female frontline and home front roles in WW1 which they have to identify through teamwork and critical thinking.

Session 4 – For King and Country

Using role-play & drama to encourage empathy, this session takes an accurate look at life for a soldier on the frontlines
focusing on how they spent their time and how they felt.

Session 5 – The Final Push

One of our highlight finale sessions, students use a range of child-friendly weapons and resources to re-enact a trench battle from the Artillery Barrage to going over the top.
